The First Adventure
Heroes meet at an inn, and find their way into the heart of the mountain

It was an unlikely coincidence which started it all. Five people, in an inn, in a mountain pass, in the middle of nowhere.

These five people, Mar the spoony bard, Rook the rocky warlord, Eranah the angelic avenger, throwaway wizard 1, and the artist soon to be known as Tony, arrived in pieces to this place. Throwaway wizard 1 and his concubine, Mar, had decided that the other three patrons in the bar would be the perfect people to bring with them on a loot run of a nearby ruin. Mar handled the talking, and managed to convince the other three people in the inn to join them into the ruin, despite having a bad background with a few of them. The adventure had begun.

It got off to a rocky start, with the party not sure how to proceed to enter the ruin, or even knowing where it was! Fortunately, after much falling off of cliffs, throwing of stones, and making waves in rocks, an entrance was found into the ruin! The ruin itself was an old temple to tiamat that stretched into the heart of the mountain. The party passed by some ancient prophecies, of how Tiamat would destroy the world.

Proceeding deeper into the mountain, they happened upon a dragon! Though the dragon was young, it was strong. After nearly eradicating the party, it was Rook who heroically slayed the beast with his might falchion. The heroes rejoiced, and among the dragon’s loot found a magical sword and another companion, throwaway wizard 2. Throwaway wizard 1 had decided that he would not stand for another caster in the party, so he left in a huff.

The party welcomed throwaway wizard 2 into it’s arms, and the mage shared with the party his experience with a party of dragonborn who had led him into this mountain, and apparently had abandoned him to be eaten by the young dragon who’s life was taken by the party. The companions continued deeper into the mountain, searching for the dragonborn who had left the newly found friend to die in this terrible place. On the way, they encountered some traps which were very deadly and almost killed a couple of the members of the party. Deeper and Deeper they went into the mountain, and happened upon the group of dragonborn that had abandoned the wizard. According to the dragonborn the wizard was supposed to guide them into the mountain, but they had gotten disconnected along the way somehow. The party mediated a discussion between the two partied, and the dragonborn’s leader, Furiaroth, was very adamant about one thing. He wanted something very specific from this place, but he would not let the party know what that was.

The party aided the dragonborn in clearing a debris filled hallway, and the decision was made to stick together to conquer this dungeon.

They proceed deeper into the place, with Furiaroth now leading the party, until they happened upon a back entrance to a dragon’s cave! The gigantic red dragonborn left the party at this point, proceeding on on his own. After a short while, he returned, looking very happy and possibly even a bit bigger than before. He and Rook exchanged goodbyes, shaking hands materialistically. Rook felt a new power flowing through his body. The Dragonborn left with throwaway wizard 2, and the party now consisted of Rook, Eranah, Tony, and Mar. They milled around the Dragon’s lair for a little while longer, acquiring wealth and magical items from the lair itself and the rooms in the abondoned temple. Although powerful, the temple’s guardians were no match for the party. Then, the party left the temple to split the goods and decide where to go next…

Suddenly, Pirates!

The party heads towards the nearest town, a trading post near the dwarven capital. There, they attempt to find Furyarith. After a night of flitting through alleyways, sidestreets, roads, and questioning townfolk, members of Furyarith’s crew, and inn employees, the party finds Furyarith attempting to board a ship to Sanction. The party and Furyarith manage to charter a ship named Weatherlight, although the captain Gerrard is not at all happy about carting passengers around, seeing as how his ship is a cargo ship. Before the party leaves, Furyarith reveals to them that he is associated with a group that he does not trust.

On the way to sanction, the ship is attacked by Pirates! A horrific battle ensues, Rook gets nearly thrown out off of the ship, holes get blown in Weatherlight’s hull, as the party, Furiaroth, and a mysterious passenger get dragged into the brawl.

This passenger boarded the other ship and sabotaged the pirate’s elemental drive. Rook, seeing the device killing the elemental, attempted to remove the device, but the device damaged Rook so badly he had to let go. Eranah managed to remove the device, but it was too late. Before the air elemental died, it gave Rook a kiss.

The Pirate’s ship was going down fast, but Furiaroth spread his wings and saved Rook and Eranah from going down with it. Upon arriving in Sanction, the group agrees to seperate from Furiaroth, so as to not drag the party into the shady organization that he had gotten himself into.

to be a dragon
Dragonborn were stolen from greatness, they want that back

The dragonborn were created by desecrating a Dragon egg, performing a ritual on the unborn dragon to turn it against it’s parents and heritage. Some dragonborn are angry at this, and wish to demolish the ones that stole their chance for greatness, while others simply look for a way to achieve that greatness in spite of the hideous ritual that claimed their true dragonhood.

The party arrived in Sanction, happy and healthy, but hungry for more action! Sadly, nothing special seemed to be happening in the sovereign city. That is, until they met a group of dragonborn. These dragonborn had but an inkling that something awful was going to happen in this city unless something was done, but they knew not where, why, how, or when. Through much poking and prodding around the city and convincing of Radiance, the city magistrate, they managed to gain access to the old, dilapidated temple of Tiamat and do some research in there.

Inside, among the old temple quarters, they found a secret hatch, which dropped them right on top of a group of dragonborn. Immediately, a fight broke out, but the party claimed this victory with ease. Proceeding deeper into the temple, they found a ritual circle that seemed to be new, and for a nefarious purpose. Upon further inspection of the room, a secret door was found that contained the egg of a gold dragon! The party saved this unborn creature from certain death but on the way out encountered a pair of jacked up dragonborn who had been torturing Furiaroth. Together they defeated these malevolent bastards and saved Furiaroth from certain death. Having saved a dragonborn and an unborn dragon, the party left the temple feeling good about their triumph. Unfortunately, rather than saving the city with these actions, they merely set the wheels in motion to destroy it. When giving the egg to Radiance, reports came that dragonborn all over were ransacking the city! Radiance gave the party his blessing and a portion of his power, which would ensure that they would survive the oncoming assault. The party fought through a horde of dragonborn to make it to the temple at the center of town, where they could protect the townspeople. However, it wasn’t long before the dragonborn who dreamed of becoming a dragon, Korath, showed up here. He had no demands, other than the killing of innocent men and women. Standing in his path, the party denied the dragonborn his victory, slaying the abomination of a half-dragon and saving the city.
